In 2000, a new 66\/6 sub-class was created with a lower gear ratio version enabling heavier trains to be hauled, albeit at slower speeds. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA total of 25 were put into service by Freightliner, numbered 66601-625, and some of these have since moved overseas for use with Freightliner Poland.
