Professionally weathered by Theringby Junction
Built by English Electric at the Vulcan Foundry between 1960 and 1965, the Class 37 diesel locomotive was one of the most mass produced in the BR fleet. They were ordered as part of the British Rail modernisation plan and due to the high tractive effort and reliability they are still mainline registered and can often be seen hauling a variety of passenger, freight and departmental services.
