Malcs Models was originally established in 2004, and after several changes of premises have now found the place to be proud of, where everyone is welcome to come and browse through our fully stocked shelves and vast range of products and modelling subjects.
Our company
Malcs Models offers every customer "a great buying experience and great stock level" we are really proud to offer a large variety of both new and used models, so there is bound to be something of interest to the customer, whether he or she be a complete novice or a highly seasoned modeller and collector.
Model Spares and Model Repairs have long been a speciality, we can offer an in-house service for most repairs and servicing and have had the benefit of long term relationships with all of the manufacturers products, spares and replacement parts that we sell on our shelves.
Our specialisation is in Model Railways, which is undoubtedly enhanced by our well known and previously mentioned model railway repair service. We are one of the few UK retailers committed to carrying a good range of products in most scales from N Gauge through to G gauge in British, American and Garden Railways. We also stock a good range of model kits and paints, slot cars,radio controlled cars/tanks & wargaming products.
Our model railway shop
Malc's Models is a business run on honesty and integrity and our Model Shop is located at 48 Bath Street, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, DE7 8FD. We have a huge range of modelling products and accessories in our cabinets and on our shelves. We also have a vast range of almost every paint and tube of glue that you could require to build your models and make them look authentic too.
Our team
A real family business, we are staffed by the great man himself, and assisted by his lovely wife Karen, his daughter Samantha and son Brett. There is always a friendly face to greet you when you arrive and always a lot of help and advice for any customer coming in through the door. These principles of honesty and integrity combined with a knowledgable approach to satisfying any customer requests certainly contributed to the award of "Bachmann Retailer of the Year" in 2016, an accolade that is recognised by the trade as a sign of confidence and quality which is always on offer at Malcs Models.
