Description

The Bedford OB was a popular British coach chassis manufactured by General Motors/ Vauxhall Motors between 1939 and 1951.  It was known for its rugged simplicity, classic Duple Vista coachwork and the distinctive whine of its gearbox. Produced in two main phases due to World War II, the OB was the first choice for coach operators and even today remains a popular vehicle among collectors and enthusiasts.

It has been a very popular vehicle in model form too and here at Oxford we have released the OB in different scales and liveries across a wide geographical spread to date.  For this latest introduction in 1:148 scale, we cross to the west of Ireland to Galway for a delightful little replica of the Connemara Tour Bus.  Registered ZN 1460, it is decorated in dark green with contrasting black roof and mudguards and with a bold oyster white stripe within a chrome surround along the sides. The destination board reads Connemara Bus On Tour while across the back, it promotes its Vintage Tours with The Connemara Bus and pre-STD telephone number Galway 85780 printed in gold.  The interior seating is dark brown.

What a wonderful time the trippers would have had on their tour through the Connemara countryside of the 1950s.

Delivery is only available to UK mainland addresses. For deliveries to Northern Ireland, Scottish Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Scilly, Jersey & Guernsey Europe etc will be at cost to you.

Goods will be deemed to have been delivered once signed for or a photo has been provided to the specified address.

If you want your parcel insured you NEED to pay the extra fees. If you do not insure extra any loss, damage or theft is no responsibility to us and you MUST take it up with the courier.
