TT3067M BR - Class 50 - 50026 'Indomitable'

BR Class 50 50026 'Indomitable' features a five-pole motor, directional and cab lighting, die-cast chassis and highly detailed bodyshell, making an imposing addition to your TT:120 fleet. This illustrious model depicts TOPS numbered 50026 ‘Indomitable’ in BR Blue with large double arrow logos, plated headcode panels and high intensity light.

History:

Entering service in July 1968 as D426, this locomotive is one of 18 to be saved for preservation. Becoming No. 50026 under TOPS, the locomotive received its name ‘Indomitable’ in March 1978 and remained in service with BR until December 1990. 

One of several members of the class to be sent for scrap at C.F. Booth in Rotherham in 1992, it was rescued by owner Paul Spracklen and restored over a 20-year period at the MoD base near Bicester in Oxfordshire. 

In May 2012 on the Swanage Railway it emerged in ex-works condition in BR blue with large bodyside double arrow logos, before gaining the later version of Network Southeast blue, which it carries to this day. It is currently based at the Mid Hants Railway.
